Mrs. Mollie Fentress Smith, 88, retired, of Medco Nursing Home, Hardinsburg, died January 23 (1977) at Breckinridge County Hospital. / She was born March 14, 1888 in Grayson County, the daughter of Ferd Fentress and the wife of Meyer Smith of Medco Nursing Home, Hardinsburg. She was a member of the Pleasant Run Baptist Church. / Survivors other than her husband include two daughters, Bessie F. Carter of Falls of Rough, and Addie Tubb of Grayson Manor; three sons, Walter Fentress, Lessie Fentress and Willie L. Fentress, all of Falls of Rough; two brothers, Judson Fentress of West Vir. and Dover Fentress of Falls of Rough; two sisters, Mrs. Preston Cannon and Mrs. Fannie Shain, both of Leitchfield; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and eight step-children. / Funeral services were held January 25 at Dermitt Chapel by the Rev. Edd Dermitt with interment in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Dermitt Funeral Home.
