She was born on Aug. 13, 1923, in Decatur, Ill., to Dan and Ruth (Rode) Bennett. She married Frederick A. Oliver on April 19, 1959, in Peoria, Ill. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1998, in Peoria.
Her parents and one granddaughter, Charlotte Jean Young, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, George Casey of El Cajon, Calif.; one daughter, Katie (and the late Ted R.) Young; three granddaughters, Deborah (Fred) Hansen of Peoria, and Diana (Mike) Juvinall and Terry (Ed) Newlan, both of East Peoria, and one grandson, Robert (Dori) Young of Goodfield, Ill. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Lorraine worked as a Western-Union Operator for several years and then later worked for the Illinois Department of Revenue. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Peoria.
Lorraine was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed watching the Cubs and being with her dog, Hotsie. Her family takes comfort in knowing that grandma is now healthy and happy in heaven with Papa. We will always love and remember them both.
Burial will be in Lacon Cemetery in Lacon.
