Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Clayton Jamison, 75, formerly of Itawamba County, were held from the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Chapel in Hillsboro, Texas on October 16, 1955 with burial in the Peoria Cemetery. Mrs. Jamison was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Clayton and was born and reared near Tilden, Miss. She was married to Walter Jamison 54 years ago, and they moved to Texas soon after their marriage. They made their home on a farm near Hillsboro until the death of Mr. Jamison 12 years ago when she and her daughter Laura moved into Hillsboro. Mrs. Jamison died October 14 in Dallas where she was undergoing treatment for a heart condition.
Survivors included her daughter, Miss Laura Jamison of Hillsboro, her step-mother, Mrs. Mattie Reed Clayton of Smithville, five sisters, Mrs. Mandie Gray, Mrs. Queenie Davis and Mrs. Elzoria Clifton of Fulton, Mrs. Nancy Welch of Alabama and Mrs. Fannie Ridge of Tuscaloosa.
