He was born on January 30, 1941 in Duncannon, to the late Ellis and Mildred Lucille (Leinaweaver) Allander.
He was retired from Quaker Oaks as a forklift operator.
Dale enjoyed bowling, his computer, going out west in his RV and spending time at home.
Surviving are his wife, Janet I. (Little) Allander; a daughter, Tracey L. Allander of Duncannon; 3 sons, Monty L. Allander and his wife, Denise of Marysville, Dale E. Allander, Jr. and his wife, Christine of Duncannon, and Kriss M. Owings and his wife, Leslie of Harrisburg; 3 stepdaughters, Stacy Snyder and her husband, Andrew of Allentown, Tracy Constantine and her husband, Craig of Emmaus, and Nichole Collins of Camp Hill; and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Garis; 2 brothers, Lee R. Allander and E. Roy Allander.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in the Ronald C. L. Smith Funeral Home, 325 N. High Street, Duncannon, with Pastor Perry L. Kile officiating. Burial will be in Newport Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10- 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday in the funeral home.
