She was born on January 23, 1918 in Newport, to the late Emmett and Ellnora (Hultzapple) Leinaweaver.
She was a seamstress for the Duncannon Dress Factory. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Lawrence Welk and especially taking care of her family.
She was the widow of Ellis "Nip" Allander.
Surviving are a son, Dale E. Allander, Sr. and his wife, Janet of Duncannon; a brother, Lloyd Leinaweaver and his wife, Esther of Carlisle; 2 sisters, Ruth Brechbiel of Mechanicsburg, and Shirely Shughart and her husband, Joe of Carlisle; a sister-in-law, Mildred Leinaweaver of Mechanicsburg; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Lee R. Allander, E. Roy Allander and a brother, John Leinaweaver.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, February 16, 2008 in the Ronald C. L. Smith Funeral Home, 325 N. High Street, Duncannon, with Rev. B. Michael Brossman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m., on Saturday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Lucille's honor be made to National Association for Down Syndrome, Post Office Box 206, Wilmette, IL 60091 or to the American Cancer Society, 3211 N. Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Smith
