Reynolds Pioneer Dies At Farm Home
John Von Rueden 89 years old, a resident of the Reynolds vicinity nearly 65 years, died Sunday at his farm home near Reynolds.

Born in Oesdorf, Germany, Feb. 13, 1856, Mr. Von Rueden came to the United States in 1872, settling at Eagle WI. In 1873 he moved to Rochester, MN and came to ND in 1881. He had lived on his present farm since 1883.

Mr. Von Rueden was married to Margaret Clemens March 15, 1883.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter Mrs. W.G. Breidenbach of Reynolds; eight sons Matthew, Frank, Fred, Nick, and Tony at home, Martin of Hatton, John of Mayville and Herbert Von Rueden of Reynolds, one sister Mrs. Etta Schultz of Seattle, 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at Reynolds. Burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery.

The body will be in state from 7 to 10 PM today, and Tuesday from 10 AM to noon at norman chapel and at the home from 3 PM Tuesday until the hour of the funeral. The rosary will be said at 8 PM Tuesday at the home.
