George Montgomery,52 years old, of 3004 Blair Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 22, 1967 in a local hospital following a long illness. He was born March 17, 1915 at Alma, Arkansas, the son of the late George W. Montgomery. His wife Jonnie Montgomery, died January 30, 1967. He was a former employee of Myers Commission company and a Baptist.

Survivors are his mother, Edna of Van Buren; two brothers, J. W. of Van Buren and Charles of Baton Rouge, La; two sisters, Mrs. Liles of Fort Smith and Mrs. Gudgell of Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Fentress Mortuary chapel with Rupert Pixley officiating, assisted by J. H. Carter. Burial was in Gill cemetery.
