Owned a cotton field in the Ellis County area. Jeffrey was a very hard working farmer, yet had a very silly side to him. He would make faces at his granddaughters and they would giggle. He would do this behind his wife Alma. Alma told the girls not to pay attention to him making those faces, but he would keep doing it.
