VINA ARMON RITES HELD ON SATURDAY

Mrs. Vina Armon of Wallowa who had lived in Wallowa County since 1906 passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1975 at the Wallowa County Nursing home where she had been a patient for seven years.

She was born on May 1, 1892 at Rosseau, Minn., daughter of Eva Mae and Henry Lortie. On Jan. 1, 1911 she was married to Samuel B. Armon, who survives her. Other survivors include a son, Wayne Armon of Enterprise; three daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Charlotte) Weaver and Mrs. Norman (Carol) Barton, both of Wallowa, and Carmen Prince of Enterprise; two sisters, Mrs. Octava Van Fossen in California and Mrs. Silas (Lavida) Barton of Walla Walla; and 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A son, Francis, preceded her in death.

Memorial services were conducted by the Bollman Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wallowa Church of Christ with Walter Skelton and Robert James officiating. Members of he church sang "Precious Lord, Take My Hand", "God Will Take Care of You", "Precious Memories" and "Abide With Me."

Casket bearers were" Florian DeJean, Velpeau Moore, Ralph Wood, Jack Groves, Vonnie Groves and Don Lindsey. Interment was in the Bramlet Cemetery.

Mrs. Armon was a member of the Wallowa Church of Christ ====
