Esther L. Brame, 91, of Decatur died 4:43 a.m. Monday (Jan. 29, 2001) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Warrensburg United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home and one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg.
Esther was born November 18, 1909, in Stonington, the daughter of Walter and Catherine (Rapp) Coffey. She was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was secretary to the superintendent of schools at Warrensburg-Latham, was a lifetime member of Decatur Hospital Auxiliary and a long-time member of Harmony Unit of Homemakers Extension. She married Earle Evan Brame on May 24, 1930 in Decatur. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Surviving are her children, Mary Koonce and husband Carroll of Illiopolis; Karen Raiha and husband Arnold of Decatur; Robert E. Brame and wife Joanne of Warrensburg; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and six sisters.
