CASA GRANDE
Della Layton, Safford Resident 65 Years. Mrs. Della Layton, 80, a resident of Safford 65 years before moving to Casa Grande a month ago, died Wednesday in the home here, of her daughter, Mrs. Cleo Crockett.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Layton First Ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Safford.

Bishop LaVar Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Thatcher Cemetery.

Born in Luna, New Mexico, Mrs. Layton was a life-long member of the LDS church and a Sunday School teacher for 38 years.

She is survived by two sons, Col. Charles B. Layton in Manilla, the phillipines, and Russ A. of Safford; two daughters, Mrs. Crockett of Casa Grande and Mrs. Joseph Chapman of Ventura, California; two brothers, Eugene Curtis of Thatcher and Rue Curtis of Safford; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Brimhall of Thatcher and 22 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Caldwell Funeral Home in Safford from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral services tommorow.
