James M. Brady died at Phoenix, Arizona, March 28th, after an illness of two years. Deceased was the son of James Brady, of 1136 North Eighth street, this city. He was born in Versailles, Ill., and after receiving the rudiments of his education at his native home, entered the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, where he
graduated with high honors with the class of '92. After a short residence in Quincy, he left for Winfield, Kansas, in 1893, where he engaged in the wholesale grocery business with his brothers, and was a most successful merchant.
Two years ago, however, his health gave way, and he sought the climates of Colorado and Arizona to regain it. Everything that medical skill and climate could do was done for him, but all in vain.
He passed away quietly at 4:20 Saturday morning, March 28th. Besides his aged father, deceased is survived by a wife, two sisters, Sister Mary Rosary, of Washington, D.C.; MissNellie Brady of this city, and three brothers, Joseph, Thomas and William of Winfield Kansas. Mr. Brady was a most exemplary young man, and the family have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their sad bereavement. The remains will be taken to Mt. Sterling for interment.
Funeral notice will appear later.
