Addie Miles Long, 92, of Athens, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, in Athens.

A native of Carroll County, Ga., and resident of McMinn County for 50 years, she was the daughter of the late Algie and Ella Peoples Miles. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Sylvester Long and one son, William G. Long.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Mattie Sue Long of Decatur, Ga.; three grandchildren, Bob Long of Athens, Mary Wallace of Conyers, Ga., and Susan Armstrong of Alpharetta, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Saturday in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Bryan and the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. There will be a private graveside service at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
