The first time was January 29, 1911, in Clay County, Illinois, to Chester Harvey Wilfong, son of Henry and Mary Gurley Wilfong. They were the parents of 4 children: Herman H., Herschel Edward, Audrey Fern and Chester Doyle Wilfong. Chester passed away in 1920 and circa 1925, Laura married 2nd to William Clarence Tucker, son of George Washington Tucker. They were the parents of one son, Charles Clarence Tucker. Laura passed away February 10, 1980, in Eldorado, Saline County, Illinois, and was buried in Wolf Creek Cemetery there.
