From "The Daily Register," Harrisburg, Illinois, 15 July 1955, page 1: Clarence Tucker, 64, died yesterday at 7:30 P.M. at his home, 1344 Mabel Street, in Eldorado. He had been ill since last spring. He leave his wife, Laura, one son Charles Tucker, Eldorado, 3 step-children, Edward Wilfong, Portsmouth, Virginia, and Charles Wilfong of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Mrs. Lawrence (Audrey) Read, Harrisburg, and the following brothers and sisters; Green, Clyde and Ralph Tucker all of Eldorado. Mr. Pearl Leverett, Carrier Mills, Mrs. Anna Potts & Mrs. Alta Sherrod, both of Harrisburg. The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 P.M., at the Church of Christ. Rev. Loren Griffen will officiate and burial will be in Wolf Creek cemetery with military rites. The body will be in state at the Martin Funeral Home. He was a member of the VFW & Barracks #178 in WWI.
