Death of Mr. A. J. Austin, of Union County.

Dr. J. A. Austin, of this city, received a telegram last night saying that his father, Mr. A. J. Austin, of Union county, had died at the home place near Rocky River yesterday afternoon. Mr. Austin was 72 years old yesterday. He leaves the following named children: Mrs. S. E. Baucom, Dr. J. A. Austin, Mrs. Edmund Duncan, Mrs. Alice Biggers, Mr. A. B. Austin and Mrs. Daisy Brooks. Mrs. Austin, the wife of the deceased, died last August. She was Miss Mary Emiline Little before her marriage.

The funeral will take place this afternoon at Crooked Creek church. Dr. Austin will attend unless the illness of his child prevents.
