J. A. ROWALND, 86 DIES SUNDAY
James A. Rowland, 86, native of McMinn County, died Sunday night at his home in the Coghill community, Route 1, Delano.
A former resident of Kamiah, Idaho, he had resided in the Coghill community for the past 19 years. He was a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucy Liner Rowland of Route 1, Delano; one son, I. Virgil Rowland of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one sister, Mrs. Parthenia Crittenden of Orlando, Fla; one brother, Thomas Rowland of Englewood, two granddaughters, Misses Jane and Patsy Rowland of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Dender Funeral Home with the Revs. Ervin Carver and Claude Green officiating. Interment was in McMinn Memory Gardens on the old Etowah-Athens Road. (Dender Funeral Home in charge).
