Mrs. Agnes Birkett, wife of George Birkett, aged 51 years, one month and 2 days. Also; Robert Birkett, son of George and Agnes Birket, at the family home Saturday morning, February 6, aged 24 years, 4
and 25 days.months and 25 days.
The death of the mother and son was sudden and entirely unexpexted, both occuring the same day and but a few hours apart. Pneumonia was the cause of death in both cases.
Mrs. Birkett was born in England and came to this country, with her husband about twenty-six years ago, and located in Salem township, this county and where the family resided for many years. A few years ago the family removed to the Reece & Bean Ranch near Reece and where the wife and mother and son died.
For the husband and father and for the sister and brothers, Jane and John and Thomas and Lambert and George the entire community feels a deep and tender sympathy.
The funeral for mother and son were conducted by Rev. George Johns were held at the Reece Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon and were largely attented. Interment followed in the Reece Cemetery.
