Bela La Nell Hightower, of Gassville

Services for Bela Le Nell Hightower of Gassville will be at 10 a.m. today at Gassville Baptist Church with the Rev. J.R. Cousins officiating. Mrs. Hightower died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at Gassville Nursing Center. She was 82.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Ray and Phyllis Crownover both of Gassville; two brothers, Ralph Shew of Gassville and Frank Lundry of Independence, Mo.; three sisters, Eva Lee Blomquist of Flippin, Marcel King of Raytown, Mo., and Anna Rose Crider of Mountain Home; five grandchildren, Mark Ray, Brad Crownover, Jimmy Whitaker and Karla Whitaker, all of Gassville and Ricke Ray of Bryant; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Dylan Whitaker of Gassville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hightower; parents, Rush Floyd and Alba Izella Shew; and stepfather Leo Lundry.

Burial will be in the Gassville Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Ricke Ray, Mark Ray, Jimmy Whitaker, Brad Crownover, Larry Rose and Dwight Rose. Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Whitaker and the Rose cousins.
