Marcel (Setzer) King, 87, of Raytown, MO, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012. She was born June 14, 1924, in Flippin, Arkansas to Rush and Alba Shew. Marcel married Floyd L. Setzer on March 2, 1946. She later married Lewis King. Marcel retired from Avon Products in 1985 where she worked in customer service for over 15 years. She was a member of the Ivanhoe United Church of Christ. Marcel loved collecting Indian artifacts and different stones because of her Cherokee Indian heritage. She enjoyed flowers, cacti, gardening, sewing, and cooking. Marcel is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and daughter, Anita Kim Tilden. Those left to cherish her memory include son, Dale R. Setzer; daughter, Cheryl (Nan) Hilliard and husband Ron; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Shew, Frank Lundry; sister, Rose Crider, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9-10 AM Tuesday June 5, 2012 at Floral Hills Chapel with services to follow at 10 AM.
