SPRINGDALE - Russell C. Ingram, 76, of Springdale died December 24, 1998, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born September 3, 1922, in Summit to William Newt and Nora Mitchell Landers Ingram. He moved to the area in 1967 from Batesville and was retired from the shipping and receiving department at Tyson Foods. He had previously worked for the railroad. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church and was a corporal in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Jean Ingram of Springdale, to whom he was married Nov. 1, 1942; three sons, Russell S. Ingram of Littleton, Colo., Billy Ingram of Springdale and Eddie Ingram of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kay Miller of Swifton and Carol Hamby of Prairie Grove; one brother, Bennie Ingram of Michigan; four sisters, Willie Langston, Margaret Jones, Myrtle Jones and Ida Lee Burge, all of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Nelson's Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Mike Halladay officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.[The Springdale News - Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas - December 25, 1998]
