Jerry Kutz was born March 20, 1941, in Sykeston, ND, to Clinton and Kathryn (Fruhwirth) Kutz. He was raised by his grandparents, Rudolph and Ann (Schaack) Kutz, following the death of his mother. He attended the Sykeston schools and later, North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. He served three years in the Navy and settled in Seattle, WA, where he worked for the Port of Seattle.
Jerry died in a Seattle hospital on January 21, 1993, at the age of 51. He is survived by his father, Clinton, and stepmother, Catherine (Huss) Kutz, of Sykeston; stepbrother, Jim, Sykeston; and ten stepsisters, Betty Olstad, Winston-Salem, NC, Cheryl Nesham, Berthold, ND, Mary Kay Larson, Sykeston, Peggy Zink, Carrington, ND, Terri Caylor, Washburn, ND, Roxanne Thomas, Hazen, ND, Brenda Hewitt, Sykeston, Shelly Kurtz, Sykeston, and Candace Ishaug, Fargo. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
Funeral services were held February 13, 1993, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Sykeston.
