Eugene Franklin Binkley Sr., 64, of Decatur died 3:17 p.m. Tuesday (June 15, 1999) in his home.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, with visitation 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday in Dawson & Wikoff Colonial Chapel North.
Mr. Binkley was born in Warrensburg on April 8, 1935, the son of Ervin F. and Bonnie Bernice (Boyer) Binkley. He was manager of Fisca Gas Station in Decatur and was an Army veteran. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing and spending time with his family. He married Beverly Stockton in November of 1953.
Surviving are his daughters, Anita Binkley, Athena Benscoter and Linda Binkley and husband Rich Smith, all of Decatur; Janet Leming and husband Gene of Mount Zion; brother, Jimmie Binkley and wife Lynda of Bulverde, TX.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Eugene Franklin "Butch" Binkley Jr. and grandson, Matthew Carl Binkley.
