His parents were Alfred G. Larimore and Sarah Jane McGee Larimore who both died in MO, Sarah approx. 1867-68 and Alfred, Feb. 1870.

Alfred G. Larimore was born 1831 in Green Co., Kentucky. His parents were Campbell Larimore (b. 1796, Rockingham Co., NC; d. 1843, Green Co., KY) and Martha "Patsy" Graham (b. 1809, NC; d. 1887, Paradise, Clay Co., MO). She is buried in the Paradise Cemetery.

Sarah Jane McGee was born in MO. Her parents were Charles D. McGee (b. 1794, Wake Co., NC; d. 1870, Platte Twnsp, Clay Co. (Gosneyville), MO.) and Mahala Poteet (b. 1800, Powell's Valley, Lee Co., VA; d. 1882, Platte Twsp, Clay Co. (Gosneyville), MO.). Both are buried at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Clinton Co., MO.

He and other members of his extended family traveled to California ca 1875 via train to Sacramento. Then his brother Jasper who was about 8 yrs old, traveled to Ashland, Oregon because his aunt & uncle had family residing there.

His uncle, James Oliver McGee and his family, and James W. Cox and his wife Julia with Jasper Newton Larimore, George's younger brother who the Coxes raised after their father's death also were included in that group. Not sure if the McGees went with the Coxes to Ashland and it's not known how they all ended up in Applegate Valley.

Most of the McGees and Coxes are buried in this cemetery, next to George.

George is listed in the 1880 U.S. Census staying with his cousins, William and Virginia Gilmore Willis, in the Deer Creek Precinct, Douglas Co., Oregon. His relatives settled Donation Land Claims in this area in 1852. This area is east of Roseburg and south of Dixonville, Oregon. Virginia's mother, Mary Poteet Gilmore, was the sister to his grandmother, Mahala Poteet McGee.

George married Celia Jane Hilderbrand of Surprise Valley, Modoc Co., CA on 8 August 1882 in Fort Bidwell, Modoc, California. There were 2 children born to this couple: Matthew Edward (1883-1943) and Christie Alfred (1887-1967). They were divorced ca 1890. Celia married John O'Leary ca 1891.

On 4 Sept. 1888, George registered to vote in Ft. Bidwell, Modoc Co., CA. He states that he was b. 1858.

On 28 Oct. 1895, he married Rachel Elizabeth Mee in Medford, Jackson Co., OR. There were three children from this marriage: James Newton Larimore (1896-1939), Verda Mary Larimore (1898-1991), and an infant who was born and died in 1900. They were divorced.

He passed away at his brother Jasper Newton Larimore's home on Williams Creek, Josephine Co., Oregon.
