Nashville--- Edward Barczewski, 68, of St. Louis, formerly of Posen, was pronounced dead on arrival Saturday at Washington County Hospital, where he was taken after collapsing at his farm near Nashville.
Mr. Barczewski was born at Posen, the son of Nicholas and Cecilia (Novak) Barczewski, and on April 16, 1934, at Posen he married Martha Piasecki, who survives.
He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in St. Louis and a retired employee of the Ralston- Purina Co., where he worked for 18 years.
Survivors in addition to his widow are three sons, Louis Barczewski of R.R. 1, Ashley, Thomas Barczewski of St. Charles, Mo., and Robert Barczewski of St. Louis; a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Greene of Washington park; two brothers, Walter Barczewski of St. Louis and Albert Barczewski of Fulton, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Ann Boughman of Pevely, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Posen with Rev. Jerome Hibner officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the King Funeral Home in Nashville after 2 p.m. today; the Rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
