Son of Jacob Fondaw, of Germany, & Elizabeth Rebecca Collins, of Tennessee.

OBITUARY - Paducah News Democrat, February 27, 1923, Tuesday
" T.B. Fondaw. Word has been received in Paducah of the death of T.B. Fondaw, 75 years old at the home of his son, C.W. Fondaw, near LaCenter, on Sunday morning. Death resulted after a few days illness of pneumonia. Born in McCracken County in 1848 near Lone Oak, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth Fondaw, pioneer settlers of the county. Mr. Fondaw made his home in this country (county) until 14 years ago when he moved to Ballard county to live with his son. He is survived by four sons, C.W. Fondaw of Ballard county; W. Fondaw of Ballard county; J.E. Fondaw, of this city; A.A. Fondaw and O.F. Fondaw of Indianapolis; three brothers, J.W. Fondaw and Charles Fondaw, of Lowes, Graves county, and W.H. Fondaw of Paducah; and a sister, Mrs. Mariah Adams of Paducah. Miss Bettie Fondaw of Bandana is a half-sister; and J.A. Fondaw of Hutchison, Kansas; J.T. Fondaw of the county; R.S. Fondaw, H.B. Fondaw, W.A. Fondaw and D.H. Fondaw all of Ballard county, are half brothers. The death of his wife occurred thirty-five years ago. Funeral services and burial took place yesterday at Lowes." Tobe and Mary Susan are buried in the Heard Cemetery, along with several of their children. It is located on Hwy 339, just outside of Melber.
