Merrill Thomas Adair passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 95. He was born on December 30, 1927 in Enterprise, Utah to Israel Hoyt Adair and Barbara Luella (Smith) Adair. He married Marlene Christofferson on May 10, 1985 in Salt Lake City, Utah


Merrill enjoyed golfing every Wednesday with his friends from "The Long Strokes". Merrill enjoyed working in many positions within the Church. He loved doing service work. Most of all, Merrill loved his family. He made sure each and every one of them always knew how much he loved them. Merrill worked in the mining industry since 1947. He loved it until he retired on April 30, 2014.


Merrill truly loved life.


Merrill is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Adair; son, Merrill Craig (Shauna) Adair; sister, Lucy Adair Bodily (Carl deceased); brother LaZell (Nyla) Adair; son-in-law, Lynn Graves; sons, Rick (Suzette) Aposhian, Doug (Cynthia) Aposhian; daughters, Kris (Roger) Anderson And Eileen Aposhian; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Kerry Lynn Graves; sister, Sheila Adair (Dale) Morrison; granddaughter, Brandee Graves; wife, Lily Adair.


A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Union Fort Fifth Ward building from 6:00-8:00 PM. Another viewing will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the same ward house from 10:00-10:45 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will held at Larkin Sunset Gardens located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road.
