Sheila Adair Morrison
May 12, 1938 — August 23, 2018

August 23rd, Heaven received a of burst sunshine, as Sheila finally went home after a difficult journey through Dementia. Sheila was the youngest of 7 children. She was born in Pioche, Nevada on May 12, 1938 to Isreal Hoyt, and Barbara Luella Smith Adair. Sheila was a natural athlete. She competed in high school in track and pole vaulting and was the Jitter Bug Queen at the College of Southern Utah. She was an avid softball player, loved bowling and tennis. She took horse riding lessons at age 70 and showed horses with the Utah Arabian Horse Association, played tag on playground equipment with grandchildren. She water skied at 76 (without getting her hair wet) and lifted weights with her personal trainer. Sheila was known for her ability to light up a room with just her smile. But her greatest talent was her ability to show genuine interest in, kindness to, and love for everyone she met. People felt it the moment she took their hand and smiled at them. They felt Christ's through her. Sheila had a zest for living, a sunny disposition and a positive outlook on life that was contagious. The thing in life she enjoyed and treasured most was her grandchildren and children. Family was everything to her. She loved her siblings, her in-laws, and her many nieces and nephews. Sheila, with patience and a glad heart, cared for her husband of 45 years, with reliance on her Heavenly Father. They grew closer together because of his illness with Parkinson's, mini-stokes and dementia. Through these trials, she truly came to love him more deeply. Sheila was a committed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served with all of her heart in a variety of Church callings which gave her more opportunities to use her desire for serving and loving people. Her faith in God was a sustaining force throughout her life and challenges. She didn't just believe in her religion, she lived it.

Sheila's eternal companion, Dale H., preceded her in death. Sheila is survived by her children Taunya (Eric), Taura (Tony), Brad (Cecilia), Teryn (Cory) grandchildren: Tyan, Cade (Cortney & soon to be her 1st great-granddaughter), Cassidy (Mason), Dallas, Jake, Kennidy, Keiton, William, Hadlee, Patrick and Thomas. Brothers Merrill (Marlene), LaZell (Nyla), Sister Lucy Bodily, Sister-in-Law Sandra (Toby) and many nieces and nephews.

Sheila was extremely blessed to have her granddaughter, Kennidy, care for her daily as a caregiver at Heritage Place Memory Care. The family wishes to thank the loving staff at Heritage Place for loving her like their own. Also grateful thanks to her amazing Hospice Nurse, Amber and Hospice CNA, Whitney.
