Margaret A. Yager

Margaret A. Booton was born in Peoria, Illinois. January 14, 1852. After an illness of several months she passed away at her home in Coon Rapids, Iowa, June 25, 1931 at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 11 days.

At the age of 9 years she moved with her parents to Jasper county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood and was married to William C. Yager, September 20, 1873.

To this union was born one child, F.M. Yager.

In 1876 they moved to Audubon county and endured the hardships of the early pioneers of Viola township, where they lived for 41 years on the old homestead, now the home of the son. Thirteen years ago they moved to Coon Rapids. Mr. Yager preceeded her in death six years ago.

She united with the M.E. church at Viola Center, Iowa 41 years ago.

She leaves to mourn her death one son, 4 grand children, 6 great grand children, and two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Etta Hoffman, Coon Rapids, Mrs. Minnie Baker, Spirit Lake, C.D. Booton, Audubon, W.U. Booton, Siouxd City and Albertus Booton, Casa Grande, Arizona.
