April 28, 1922
C B Hood, aged 75 years, an ex-Confederate, died at the family home here Wednesday at 12:30 pm of uremia. He was born in Ashville, AL, September 16, 1846 and married Miss Ann Anderson at Kosse TX in 1876. Six children were born to them, threeof which survive him as follows: Mrs. J J Jackson, Teague; Mrs. J J Linzby, Goose Creek; and Mrs. Clyde Utley, Waxahachie.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. Homer Tirey at the family residence at 4:00 pm yesterday afternoon following which interment was in Greenwood cemetery.
