Mrs. Anderson Rites Sunday
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Ditom- Ebert Funeral Home at Central Lake for Mrs. Charles (Bessie L.) Anderson, who died this morning at her home, 612 Elizabeth-st. Rev. Paul Bone will officiate and interment will be in Lakeview cemetery at Eastport. The former Bessie Smith was born at Bowersville, Ohio on August 25, 1879 and was married to Mr. Anderson at Eastport in 1899. The couple resided there, then moved to East Jordan until 1910, when they moved to Petoskey. Mr. Anderson, who operated a bicycle shop on Howard-st., preceded her in death in 1940. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and a charter member of the Wesleyan Service Guild.- Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Lena) Stalker, with whom she had spent the past 20 winters; two sons, Floyd R. of Flint and,Charles, jr, Dearborn; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother, John Smith of Eastport. The body was taken to the Ditom-Ebert Funeral Home at Central Lake.
