"Daddy Wayne" Wayne Johnnie Schmidt, 67, of Austin, passed away May 18, 2008.
He had served as an MP in the National Guard for several years.
He is survived by three sisters, Mildred Lynch, Bernice Buchhorn, and Wanda Jean Mitchell; his twin brother, Wilbert Schmidt; and seven nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Frank and Elna Bertha Feldman Schmidt and one brother, Roy Dell Schmidt.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 East Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78752. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Austin-Peel and Son Chapel. Burial will follow at the Capital Parks Cemetery. Pastor Roy Bohrer will officiate.
