Arthur Bursaw, 82, of Granite Falls, died May 6, 2005 at his residence. His funeral was held May 10 at the First Baptist Church in Granite Falls with Pastor Scott Paulson officiating. Burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.



Arthur William Bursaw was born June 10, 1922 in Cogs-well, ND, to William Henry and Anna (Bjorklund) Bursaw. Arthur served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the South Pacific, beginning in Nov-ember of 1942 and was honorably discharged as a decorated veteran in December of 1945.

Arthur married Patricia Ann Holstein on March 6, 1948. He was baptized in 1958 at the First Baptist Church in Canby. Arthur worked for Victor Fluid Power in Granite Falls as a machinist for many years.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; three children, Michael Bursaw of San Diego, CA; Cheryl (& Ron) Jones of Lake Crystal and Mark (& Mary Kay) Bursaw of St. Cloud Park; six grandchildren: Jamie Jones, Merodie Jones, Benjamin Bursaw, Jacob Bursaw and Sarah Bursaw; two sisters, Marie Ficken of Blue Earth and Harriet Godsil of Oneida, IL; two brothers, LuVerne Bursaw of Oregon City, OR and Harold Bursaw of Sun Prairie, WI and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Viola Johnson, Helen Daniel--son and Fay Mickewitz.
