Harriet A. Godsil, age 82, of Oneida, Illinois died at 2:17 A.M. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg, Illinois, surrounded by her family.

Harriet was born on January 29, 1938 in Sunrise, Minnesota the daughter of William and Anna (Bjorklund) Bursaw. She graduated from North Branch High School in Sunrise, Minnesota. She was married to George Godsil.

Surviving are her children: Gayle (Todd) Andrews of Avon, Illinois, Anna (Jon) Rollins of Oneida, Illinois, Rhonda (Orrin) Clarke of Oneida, Illinois, and Loren (Stacy) Godsil of Ballwin, Missouri; twelve grandchildren: Ashley (Patty) Keenan of Abingdon, Illinois, Brandon Larson (Brittany) of Abingdon, Illinois, Whitney Courson (Terrence Dickerson) of Galesburg, Illinois, Amber (Eric) Larsen of Lincoln, Nebraska, Joshua (Kelly) Rollins of Dahinda, Illinois, Nicole Rollins (Tyler Bevard) of Davenport, Iowa, Amanda Rollins (Josh Connolly) of Peosta, Iowa, Danielle Williams (Kyle Bumphrey) of Kewanee, Illinois, Dana Clarke of Oneida, Illinois, Thomas Godsil of Ballwin, Missouri, Leslie (Kent) Seiler of Peoria, Illinois, and Shawn Williams of Peoria, Illinois; Eleven great-grandchildren; her siblings: Marie Ficken of Blue Earth, Minnesota and Harold (Carol) Bursaw of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Viola Johnson, Helen Danielson, Art Bursaw, Vern Bursaw, and Faye Mickiewicz.

She was employed by the ROVA School District for 30 years. She was a member of the former Moose Lodge in Galesburg, Illinois. She loved to play Bingo and the slots. She loved her family, her coffee and the music of George Jones.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Oneida, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Oneida, Illinois. Interment will be in the Henderson Cemetery, in Henderson, Illinois. In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Honor Flight or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
