Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation noon Friday until services. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg.
Miss Brown was born Aug. 27, 1894, in Harristown, the daughter of James Emery and Katherine Marilla Batchelder Brown. She was a retired teacher having taught home economics at Springfield High School for many years. She was a member of Illini Congregational Church. She graduated from Millikin University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Surviving are her sisters, Kathleen Gilman of Decatur; Helen Beck of Niantic; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Baxter and Theodore, and sister, Avis Robbins.
