George Albert Graves died June 9, 1938, aged 46. He was born in Riley county, Kansas, February 17, 1892. He came with his parents to Payne county in 1898. He was united in marriage with Ethel Wolford at Mehan, September 15, 1915, and have made their home on the farm, 6 miles south and 2 1/4 miles east of Stillwater since.
Survivors are his widow, and two sons, Eugene and Lloyd, and four daughters, Esther, Georgia, Rosalie, Margaret, all at home. One son, Austin, preceded his father in death, May 23, 1929.
One brother, W.H. Graves, Milwaukee, Ore., and two sisters, Mrs. Hanson, Leonardville, Kan., and Mrs. Mabel Cole, Stillwater, also survive. Two brothers preceded him in death, Joe Graves in 1919, and Dexter Graves in 1935.
Funeral services were held at Eden Chapel, Sunday, June 12, 1938, at 2:30 p.m., Brother Elgin Smith officiating. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
