Huber Rites Wednesday


Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Jennings funeral home for John Huber Jr., 41, of 719 Congress street, who died Saturday at Glenridge sanitorium [sic] after an illness of a few weeks.


A native of Schenectady, Mr. Huber was one of the organizers of the Congress Street Merchants' league and was active in its business and social activities. He was employed at the army quartermaster depot at South Schenectady and before joining the depot staff had worked for the city. He was a member of the Swiss society, the Schenectady County Democratic club and was a former committeeman from the Ninth ward.


Surviving are two brothers, David Huber and William Huber; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Huber Sr., a nephew, Ronald W. Huber, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rev. David Welton will officiate at the funeral service. Cremation will take place at the Gardner-Earl memorial chapel.

Funeral Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Jennings funeral home, Mont Pleasant. The funeral home will be open Tuesday evening after 7 o'clock for the convenience of relatives and friends. Rev. Welton of St. Patrick's Episcopal church officiating. Interment Oakwood cemetery, Troy, N.Y.
