JOHN HUBER


John Huber, 73, resident of this city for 51 years, died Saturday at his home, 1719 Congress street, after a long illness.


Born in Switzerland, he came to this country 51 years ago and settled in Schenectady where he was employed by the General Electric Co. He had been retired 11 years.


Mr. Huber was a member of the G.E. Quarter-Century club; German lodge, IOOF; the Switzerland society, and the Workman's Benefit fund, USA.


He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Fonk Huber; two sons, Daniel W. and William of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Alfred Duglin and Mrs. Frieda Jorgensen of Schenectady, Mrs. Harry Haken [sic] of Chicago and Mrs. Frank Watcher of Holyoke, Mass.; a grandson, Ronald Huber of Schenectady, and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Jennings Funeral home. Rev. Daniel M. Welton, minister of St. Paul's Episcopal church, officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery, Troy.
