Mrs. W. S. McSwain
Mrs. Rachel Ligion McSwain, 78, widow of William S. McSwain, died about 7:30 o'clock Saturday morning in a Columbia hospital following several years of declining health.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at o'clock at the Shuford-Hatcher chapel by the Rev. C. E. Hampton, of the Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. Interment was in the Hopewell cemetery near Blacksburg with the Shuford-Hatcher Company, morticians, in charge.
Mrs. McSwain is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. M. White, of Converse; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
