Shellie Ray, 94, of Yakima, WA died Thurs., February 21, 2002. He was born April 18, 1907 in Fort Collins, CO to Robert and Margaret (Halsell) Mannon. He married Alice Alene Mitchell on November 28, 1928 in Weleetka, OK. They were married for 32 years. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee, OK.
He is survived by 2 daughters: June Cowherd, OKC and Phyllis Mannon Anderson, Yakima, WA; 15 grandchildren: Jimmy Cowherd, Linda Westfall, Brenda Borth, Steve Cowherd, Sherry Gibson, Shelley Ogle, Carol Shepherd, Debbie Puskas, Jackie Pannell, Shannon Anderson, Bobbi Dillman, Jo Sims, Jenny Bagley, Marvin Mannon, Jr. and Tommy Mannon; 24 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Dora Lee Brazell, Chico, CA and Ruth Ditzler, Tulsa, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; 9 brothers and sisters; 3 children: Margaret Mannon in 1934, Marvin Mannon in 1991, Barbara Puckett in 2000; and 1 great grandson: Marvin Mannon III.
Services will be held Monday, February 25, 2002 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Matthews and Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Comittal services are scheduled for at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weleetka, OK under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
