Husband of Eliza Davis Reid. Ford was a recruiter for the US Army. A direct descendant of Governor James Garrard, the second Governor of KY (1796-1804). Ford Reid was the son of the late William A. and Nancy Biggs Reid. His grandmother, Sophia Garrard Reid, was a granddaughter of Governor James Garrard. Ford was brother to Barton S., James IV, Stephen IV, Theo (Dot), Richard B., Michael H., Joseph B., and Wolford B Reid. His sisters were Sophia Reid Philpot (Siloam Springs, AR), Lucy Reid Sandlin, and Wilhimena Reid Philpot.
