Son of the late William A. and Nancy Biggs Reid. Wolford B. Reid was married to a lady named Jennie, who preceded him in death. He was a direct descendant of Governor James Garrard, the second Governor of KY (1796-1804). His grandmother, Sophia Garrard Reid, was a granddaughter of Governor James Garrard and Elizabeth Mountjoy Garrard. Wolford was a brother to Barton S., James W., Stephen IV, Theophilus (Dot), Michael H., Richard B., Joseph B., and Bob Ford Reid. His sisters were Sophia Reid Philpot (Siloam Springs, AR), Lucy Reid Sandlin, and Wilhimena Reid Philpot.
