Earl was the son of Dolphus "Doc" and Nannie Bishop Bailey. He was a lifelong resident of the Claiborne Parish area. He was self employed as a heavy equipment operator, He served his country in the U. S. Army National Guard. Preceding him in death were his parents, one son Curtis, one brother Sim Bailey, and sister Ernestine Bailey and two grandsons, Preston McClure and John L. Goodwin. He is survived by his wife Zelda, four children, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren,three sisters and two brothers.
