Tommy was a wonderful dance partner. Our favorite songs to dance to in high school were "Stand By Me" and "A Whiter Shade of Pale".

Thomas "Tom" H. Gann Jr., 51, of Climax Springs, Mo., died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in Camdenton. He was born July 31, 1950, in Chillicothe, the son of Thomas Henry and Clara Virlea Thomas Gann Sr.

Mr. Gann was a 1968 graduate of Chillicothe High School and a 1980 graduate of Columbia College, with a bachelor of science degree in administration. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe. Mr. Gann served in the United States Air Force from 1969 until 1973. He lived in Chillicothe from 1950 until 1973. Mr. Gann then moved to Searcy, Ark., and from there to Omaha, Neb., and then to Fort Walton Beach, Fla. He recently moved to Camdenton. Mr. Gann was employed by Grellner Sales & Service, Inc.

Survivors include a daughter, Heather Elizabeth Gann of St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, Rick Gann of Mary Esther, Fla.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Belinda Gann Ward and husband Gary and Vickie Gann Acree and husband George, all of Centralia, Mo.; his father, Thomas Henry Gann Sr. and his wife Donna, where he made his home in Climax Springs, Mo.; four nieces; two nephews; a greatniece; and five great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe. Friends may call from 8 a.m. until 9' p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Friday, at the funeral home. A family visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Thomas "Tom". H. Gann Memorial Fund, which may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 47; Chillicothe, MO 64601. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
