H.L. Collett, aged 49, a native of Blount County, died suddenly at his home in Alabama City on Wednesday, July 24th. Funeral services were conducted at Alabama City, Saturday, July 27 by Rev. L.T. Fendley, of Oneonta and Revs. Goddard and Sauls, of Alabama City. Burial was in Old Liberty Cemetery in Oneonta with Brown, of Alabama City, in charge. Mr. Collett is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Collett, five brothers, J.I. Collett, of route 1, Altoona; Mitchel Collett, of Pell City; Cicero and Elmer Collett, of Steele, and Jay, of Arkansas; five sisters, Mrs. R.L Payne, of route 1, Oneonta, Mrs. George Armstrong and Mrs. Mackie Richardson, of Tarrant City; Mrs. Stella Whited, of route 4, Oneonta, and Mrs. Gladys Cherry, of Guntersville.
