E.M. Collett, a former citizen of this county, died at his home in Alabama City last Thursday. The remains were brought back to Oneonta and were laid to rest in Old Liberty cemetery Saturday, the funeral services being conducted by Revs. H.C. Bradley and G.A. Smith. Mr. Collett was about 68 years of age and was a good citizen. He came from Georgia about 34 years ago, and settled near Oneonta where he has been living most of the time. He had just recently moved to Alabama City. He was the father of 15 children, 13 of whom with his widow survive him.
