Lillian Grace Accola, 88, of Greeley died Wednesday March 22, 1989 at North Colorado Medical Center.

She was born July 22, 1900 in Mankato,MN to Lewis G. and Jennie (Stone) Dunn. On October 2, 1917 she married Arthur M. Accola in Greeley. In 1915 Mrs. Accola came to Briggsdale where her grandfather homesteaded.

Mr. Accola took out a homestead east of Briggsdale in 1911. She and her husband lived on the homestead until 1971 when they moved to Greeley. Her husband died November 20, 1974.

She was a member of the Briggsdale Congregational Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Greeley Senior Center and a former member of Briggsdale Cancer Sewing Group and Congregational Ladies Aid.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Clark L. (Elsie) Baldon and Mrs. Mrs. Ernest (Grace) Austin, both of Denver, Mrs. Lester (Doris) Poush of Greeley, and Mrs. E.P. (Lois Jean) Scopel of Evans; a son, Donald W. Accola of Moreno Valley, CA; 24 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Brenner of Vernal, UT. A son, Roy Arthur Accola was killed in action August 15, 1944 during World War II. A grandson, Stephen Baldon also is deceased.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Adamson Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.
