Lorenzo came with his parents and brothers to Fresno, California where he and his wife Florence purchased 160 acres of farm land. He worked with his father James and his Uncle Layman on several large construction projects in Fresno including the fence around the Court House and the Fancher Creek Bridge in the 1880's.
Lorenzo was the father of two children, Oliver James Fowler and Florence Fowler Carrasco. He was the grandfather of Irl H. Fowler and Ila W. Fowler.
Lorenzo and his wife Florence divorced shortly before he and his children moved to Santa Rosa to live near his father James Brewster Fowler and his brother Gilbert Turner Fowler.
Lorenzo passed away in 1944. He is buried with his son Oliver James Fowler and his grandson Irl H. Fowler.
