William was the son of John Nicholas Procious or Brosius and Barbara Paul. He married Polly Mary Anna Schick on 22 Feb 1843. She died on June 12, 1854, and he married Catherine A. (Gearhart) Markle on Apr. 17, 1855 in Aeloa, Mahoning Twp., Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania.
