From the book They Settled in Applegate Country" page 47-

The children of James and Malinda Gibson included a son James Ospert Gibson,later of Tacoma who married Laura Gertrude Coran in 1906, and nine daughters among them were Hannah, Edna, Cora, Eleanora (Ella) MacIrvin, Addie Pierce (Mrs Enos) Josephine Vinyard (Mrs David), Alice Hartley (Mrs James T.) and Verda Larimore (Mrs Jasper). Children of Verda and Jasper were Alfred who married Lela Sparlin, lives in Washington state: Lee who went to Portland; Oliver who went to Hilt, California; Gale who once lived at Grants Pass; Fernold and Aileen Robinson.

Page 170 says "Former partners of the Sparlins were the Larimores of whom there were at least three brothers George, Jack and Jasper."

The Applegate Country that is refered to is a part of Josephine and Jackson county that is in the "Applegate Valley" it follows the Applegate river and is a rich farming area.
